Prof. Manuel Melis Maynar is the world renowned lead engineer on the Madrid Metro extension. Melis accomplished the construction of 120km of metro within a mere 5 years, from conception to full operation, at a significantly reduced cost compared to rail projects of similar or smaller scale worldwide.
Melis has received endorsements from the largest names in the infrastructure industry, praising his innovative planning and construction methods. Prof. Melis and Metro Dublin have worked very closely together over the years, gaining the incredible and invaluable mentorship from Melis.

Private Public Partnership
Metro Dublin is a Private Public Partnership (PPP) initiative, with the aim to provide the Greater Dublin Area with 92km of Metro by 2032, completely cost free to the Taxpayer through private investment.
